Julia & Derek are getting married this Saturday, so I guess it’s about time I share a few from their snowy winter engagement session we shot in February. After a long grey January of waiting for the pretty side of winter, mother nature finally dumped a beautiful blanket of snow, and it did not let up for for days! We all agreed on a last minute session and met up at Derek’s family home in Whitevale, a little slice of country just north of Pickering. Love love love! I must shoot there more often. The conditions were perfect – mild temps, but cold enough that the snow was not heavy, and large beautiful flakes that fell softly around us all day. Just perfect! We trekked through the woods together around the area that Derek had grown up, stopping along the way to find pockets of light through breaks in the trees. Julia and Derek so are polite and sweet, and 100% in love with each other. I tested the waters with my crazy ideas and they totally passed. These two know how to have a good time and not take themselves too seriously, so brace yourselves for your wedding party portraits. :)
Can’t wait to celebrate with you guys at Skyloft this weekend. xo
