Whitby Engagement Photographer | Laura & Trevor

September 2, 2016September 2, 2016

An adventurous couple + the sweetest yellow lab + a warm summer night = the perfect recipe for an engagement session. Laura contacted me back in January about her Penryn Park wedding, which happens to be one of my all time favourite venues. Of course I was excited to meet with her, but after getting to know both her and…

I love living in a country where we can truly experience all four seasons and appreciate the beauty of nature. Oh Canada! But the absence of snow in southern Ontario this past winter, and the fluctuating temperatures, mostly just damp, overcast and cold enough to require thick layers, was plain frustrating – especially when the highlight of winter for…

December 16, 2015January 14, 2016

I loved hanging out with S&R for their Whitby engagement session. It’s hard to believe that this is December, a little over a week ago actually, and looking and feeling very much like early spring. These two totally owned their session. All smiles and clearly crazy about each other. Thanks so much for the fun afternoon…

Vanessa and Mike’s winter engagement session was the best! It included three of my favourite things. Snow, dogs, and love. You can’t not smile looking at this little family. Catherine + Daniel Winter Engagement | Durham Region Photographer

January 16, 2014March 3, 2014

I had the pleasure of shooting Catherine and Daniel’s engagement session a couple weeks ago and I am so pumped to share it. When we met to discuss different ideas for their shoot, above all, a wintry feel is what we were hoping for. Mother nature did not disappoint! After a major snow dump and…

I love a good late night flat lay. So fun pulling I love a good late night flat lay. So fun pulling together while we wait for the dance floor to fire up. 🪩 In this shot, most of the details were in place as seen here. I added the rings, invitation, and flipped the fork. I love how the bride’s phone was already sitting there with the date and time illuminated👌

This trend became a welcomed request this season. What do you think? Do you have a preference for more traditional detail shots pre ceremony, late night, or both?

Trust is the foundation of a great engagement sess Trust is the foundation of a great engagement session. When couples trust their photographer, it creates a space where they can truly relax, be themselves, and connect authentically with each other. It allows the focus to shift away from the camera and onto the emotion, moments, and chemistry that make a relationship unique.

As your photographer, building trust means creating an experience where you feel valued, listened to, and cared for. The result is natural, heartfelt images that reflect who you are and the love you share.
Celina and Alex were up for anything, but most importantly they trusted me and the process. I love how their collection of images reflects this. C + A thanks for leaning to into your vulnerability allowing the space to create these photos. 🫶
