No forced, uncomfortable, awkward or formal posing here. Although I will always make time for a classic portrait, you can expect lots of real interactions between you and your loved ones through gently guided prompts. The families I work with appreciate the beauty found in real moments and the way their relationships exist in the present; The unique personality quirks, little glances, deep belly laughs, sometimes tears, and all the in between moments.
More than just photos, this is an experience and we are going to have FUN. Freezing these moments, the REAL stuff, documented in an authentic way, is how you will want to remember it, and it’s what you can expect from our session together

newborn lifestyle
Starting at $650
Newborn sessions typically take place within the first 2 weeks of baby’s arrival and last longer than a regular lifestyle session. The session takes place in the comfort of your home and follows the baby’s lead with plenty of time for changes and feeding.
Together we will tell the story of this new chapter in a relaxed and stress-free way. Documenting the beauty of simple interactions between immediate family members (pets included), snuggles and portraits of baby solo and with each of you, and of course the little details we are able to catch too; full body stretches, finger grabs, big yawns and smiles. Using the natural light in your home, we often shoot between the master bedroom, nursery, and living room

To reserve your session date, a signed contract and 50% retainer are required, all completed digitally. Once we are in the books together, you will receive a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family a bit before we officially meet on your session day.

Four weeks from your session, you can expect your gallery of hand edited images. From within your gallery, you can download, share, and order products!

Your session is not all about your wardrobe, however well-chosen outfits help to create beautiful photos. Have our location in mind as you make your outfit selections to compliment the surroundings. I find neutrals and earth tones work well for a timeless look for spring and summer. Jewel tones are best for fall and winter. Textures and layers are nice, limiting patterns to one person in your group so things don’t get too busy. Avoid large logos, characters, and busy patterns, and hard no to the very dated all white t-shirts with jeans look. My clients often send photos of outfits they are considering, and I am happy to help with coordinating your family’s session look. I want you to feel comfortable and confident!

For on location (outdoor) sessions, it is at the Photographer’s discretion to determine if the weather is unfit. If we are rained out or facing extreme temperatures, I will reach out to rebook on a mutually agreeable date within the same calendar year. I’m always checking the forecast leading up to a session and will get in touch the day before to confirm.

Yes! The removal of an unwanted blemish and sharpening eyes is included. Heavily retouched skin and hair, the removal of objects, correcting wardrobe malfunctions, sunburns/tan lines, and other special requests however, can be quoted on a per images basis.

Your final edited jpg images will be delivered in a beautiful online gallery 4 weeks from your session date. From your gallery, you have full access to share and download your images in low and high resolution. You can order prints and other products, and also design and fully customize your own albums and cards.

Yes! If your dog is very excitable, it’s not a bad idea to bring a handler to assist and hold the leash for shots that may not include them.

I offer limited mini sessions and specials in the spring and late fall, including Tree Farm and Christmas Mini sessions. Options include in studio and outdoors. Mini sessions book up quickly, so it’s best to add your name to the mailing list, if you don’t want to miss out!
